Meet the leading teacher at Joyland Family Child Care—a compassionate and experienced caregiver with over a decade of dedication to supporting young children. Her journey in early childhood care began long before she started her own family, through hands-on experience working in a family-owned childcare program and providing occasional babysitting for neighbors, relatives, and friends. These early encounters ignited a strong desire to care for and instruct young children. Later, as a mother of four children close in age, she naturally transformed her own home into a warm, structured, and engaging environment that reflects the qualities of a professional child care setting. She creates an environment where children feel comfortable, nurtured, and encouraged to develop by combining formal training with real-world parenting experience.
She holds an associate's degree in mathematics. Additionally, she has completed child development courses at Monterey Peninsula College and is currently pursuing her associate teacher certificate. She is fully licensed by the California Department of Social Services and maintains up-to-date certifications in CPR and First Aid. She completed all the necessary trainings, which enable her to provide a play-based learning and caring environment that promotes each child's emotional, social, and cognitive development.
We offer a variety of programs at Joyland Family Child Care to meet the individual needs and interests of each child. Our programs include infant care, toddler care, and preschoolers. All adults living in the home, including those involved in caregiving, have completed and passed an extensive background screening by the California Department of Justice.
As a licensed family child care, we keep our group sizes small to ensure individualized care and high-quality treatment. The number of children enrolled is kept within state-regulated ratios for safety and developmental support.

Stairways are securely gated, and hazardous chemicals are kept well out of children’s reach. We conduct regular emergency drills and have a fully stocked 72-hour emergency kit on site. All adults in the home have passed thorough background checks, and our facility meets all state safety regulations through regular inspections. Parents can have confidence that their children are in a nurturing, secure, and well-protected environment.

Inside, we offer a clean, cozy environment with dedicated areas for play, learning, meals, and rest, along with a variety of age-appropriate toys and materials to support development. Located in the quiet, family-friendly East Garrison neighborhood of Marina, California, our home sits across from a large open field ideal for outdoor play. We’re also within walking distance of Lincoln Park, providing even more opportunities for safe, active fun. It's a peaceful, accessible setting where children can truly thrive.
